Lecture Content:

“National translation practice” is a new concept derived from a comprehensive description of translation history and the “subject + action” model. Within the conceptual framework of “national translation practice”, the connotation of “national” involves “subject → object → function” and the “one body with two sides and three dimensions” of “national translation research” while “practice”reflects the “guiding → organizational → goal-oriented” three dimensions of national translation. Through comparative analysis of several English translation methods of “national” and “practice”, it can be seen that an appropriate English translation of “national translation practice” facilitates the international expression of original discourse and identifying concepts of Chinese translation studies.
