It finds that the dissemination of The Communist Manifesto in Greece is a manifestation of the localization of Marxist theory, reflecting both the uniqueness of Marxism’s international communication and the universality of this process. The struggle for discourse power among different Marxist factions has promoted the dissemination of The Communist Manifesto in Greece, with the competition for discourse power manifesting itself in textual translation and following the logic of political struggle. In this struggle, the Greek Communist Party employed discourse control strategies to gain an advantage in interpreting The Communist Manifesto in Greece, thereby achieving control over the discourse power of Marxism. |
