To further enrich the cultural lives of faculty and staff and strengthen the cohesion and sense of belonging within the school, the SFL officially launched its “Workers’ Home” on campus recently. This new space offers a warm and welcoming environment where faculty can study, communicate, and relax.

Located in Room 7-202 of the Binhai mid-campus, the Workers’ Home is warmly decorated and fully equipped. It features a reading corner stocked with a wide variety of books, providing rich intellectual nourishment for faculty and staff. A cozy lounge area, complete with comfortable sofas and potted greenery, offers a pleasant retreat for relaxation during breaks. Additionally, a dedicated discussion zone provides an ideal setting for heart-to-heart talks, experience sharing, and small-scale academic exchanges.

At the launch ceremony, headof the SFLWorkers Union introduced the original vision and functional planning behind the Workers’ Home. She emphasized that this space serves as a key platform for the union to support faculty and staff, aiming to foster a true“home away from home” atmosphere. The goal is to help everyone feel more energized and motivated in their work. Following the ceremony, faculty representatives toured the newly opened facility. They praised the space highly, expressing that its launch demonstrates the school’s care and support. They also shared their enthusiasm for actively participating in future activities, using the space to exchange ideas, deepen relationships, and grow together.

With the launch of the Workers’ Home, the SFLWorkers Union plans to regularly host diverse activities such as book-sharing sessions, tea gatherings, and cultural and sports events. By fully utilizing this vibrant hub, the union aims to continuously enhance faculty well-being and sense of belonging, uniting the collective strength needed to drive the school’s development and inject fresh energy into the advancement of the SFL.
