Gardenias bloomed and farewell songs softly played. In this radiant June, a time of passing moments and heartfelt farewells, the SFL proudly hosted its 2025 Graduation Gala, themed “Bridging the World with Language, Carrying Voices Toward the Future”, on June 18 at 6:00 PM in the Lecture Hall of Yifu Building. SFL leaders, department heads, counselors, and graduating students gathered together to celebrate this vibrant and dream-filled evening.

The graduation gala was structured into three thematic acts:“Time Like a Song: The Unique Memory of Youth”, “Connecting the World through Language: Together We Sail”, and “Pioneering the Journey: Youth Leading the Way Forward”. School leaders, department heads,faculty members, and graduating students conveyed their best wishes through a diverse array of artistic performances, including music, dance, magic shows, and voice dubbing.

The gala concluded with a collective recitation by school leaders and teachers of the poem “Youth as Witness, Setting Sail”, expressing heartfelt blessings and high hopes for the graduates. Dean Chao Luomeng delivered a message to the students, encouraging them to let language be their sail and brave the waves. Customized graduation gifts—including commemorative teddy bears and gift boxes—were prepared for graduating students. These were distributed through live raffles and interactive activities led by faculty and staff, adding joy and warmth to the celebration.

The evening concluded with the song “Goodbye”, marking a beautiful end to the event. Graduation season is not merely an ending, but the prelude to a new chapter. It is not just a farewell, but a moment of deep reflection and bold anticipation for the future.
